Last Resort

Not normally one for printed pieces I find myself quite taken with the paradise print in Ksubi's Last Resort collection. I wandered in to see if my friend Han was working, and although she wasn't there a great many other things were. I am going to pick up this little baby this week. I tried it on some time ago in black but am very glad I held off as this print is just perfect for summer.

I also tried on this AMAZING leather tee which fit oh so perfectly. Unfortunately this one will damage my bank account just a little too much so it is definitely on my Christmas wishlist, along with a new couch for my apartment and a plentitude of other items that I probably need more than another item of clothing.

For those of you in Melbourne, hopefully you are catching some serious rays today.

Harvesting

Yesterday I ventured to Werribee park for the lovely Harvest music festival. After missing out on going last year and seeing The National (super sad face), it was a must for me to go this year.

The weather was glorious and this was the most easygoing festival I have ever been to. No lines, free transport back to the city, no pushy crowds despite it being sold out, and just an all round happy vibe. I hear this is a big improvement from last year.

The only change that could possibly have bettered my day would have been if I had my usual festival buddy Slim-jim. However I did have my main man, so I should not complain!
I embraced my inner Amish and wore a hat I recently purchased from Bleecker st with a Her Pony playsuit. The outfit was later enhanced by some serious eye glitter.

Off to make some raspberry cheesecake brownies!

Claude Maus edit.

I took a wander into ye old Claude Maus today and noticed some lovely new arrivals, including a beautiful pair of clogs and some near perfect boyfriend jeans along with many other new denim styles. The problem with jeans is I buy them and never wear them, but I think I need to venture out of my comfort zone and start dressing down a little more. I have also been eyeing off the bottom printed tee for some time now.

Happy Friday! Jade.

I think we have a problem...

A shoe problem. Slim posted some shoes she purchased from Topshop on Instagram today and it made me think about all the shoes that have been landing in our wardrobes recently. I think we really need to stop, but it is very unlikely when there are several pairs of shoes that I am still eyeing off, as is Dim. Will we ever be satisfied?

Extended Weekend

Happy Cup weekend from us! I spent my weekend enjoying the semi-sunshine that was bestowed upon Melbourne for some of the time and kicking about in my ksubi denims and saltwater sandals. In the other pics bellow Dim is wearing some old faithful Jaci Bailey floral jeans with a Melia By Night top and leather connies. Back to work tomorrow! Enjoy your short week.

My Oh My Chameleon

I can't help spending my free minutes browsing through the online store My Chameleon. The styling makes me want to look at one item after another, until I find a maze of pieces that I feel I have to add to my wardrobe. Plus they stock our favourites Thursday, Sunday, so clearly something is just right here.

Here is today's dream list:

Yasmin Eslami alice bra, and andreas boxer shorts. But, I'd gladly take every piece of underwear by this designer in the hope to somewhat satisfy my bra and briefs addiction.

Happy Cup weekend! Fairy.

Derby Day

Hello friends. We have been strangers, but the weather is heating up and the party season is upon us. This means out of hibernation and back into the blogosphere!

This weekend we went to Derby day to celebrate our beautiful friend Jayne's 21st birthday. Despite having lived in Melbourne my entire life, this was my very first race day. I stepped away from the dresses and fascinators, and wore my brand new and soon to be lived in Lover lace cami shorts, with a Gorman shirt, Alphaville Ayaka shoes and Illesteva sunglasses. Slim wore a gorgeous, structured Cue dress with my prized Vera Wang Lavender label platforms, of which she has worn so many times that I think she can almost claim more ownership than I.

I will endeavour to make more effort with the blog now that holiday mode is slowly fading out of my system.

Love Fairy.
