Russh Shopping

I am a big fan of Russh's shopping section, and this week's offering is no exception. Named 'House of Jealous Lovers' it is a selection of all things green. To see more click on Russh's website here. Jade x

Urban Outfitters

If i'm not dreaming of all the clothes i wish to purchase, i am on Urban Outfitters browsing through hundreds of pages of amazing furniture and home decor. Sigh... why can't they post all items to Australia :(

Find them all here!

Baggu Bandwagon

Every now and then there is one item that comes along that I just have to have. It is generally a staple and I usually struggle to decide on which colour to purchase (it always results in black). Last summer it was a perfect pair of Saltwater sandals, this summer it is a Baggu backpack. Dim bought one at the beginning of the year and every time I see her carry it I get bag envy, but it wasn't until I saw a girl with the striped one that I realised this is definitely the next item on my 'need' list. You can buy them here for around $40. Why did I even need to think about it?

Separation Anxiety

My Slimity is moving out soon and I am having some serious separation anxiety. The only cure I know is retail therapy, especially considering I am going to be losing my emergency wardrobe. She is only moving around the corner but I will miss dancing in the kitchen whilst pulling serious faces just so she can laugh at me, having her cut up ingredients when we cook together because she loves 'cutting up shit', doing her washing and having her sit and watch me fold it, getting notes when she goes away saying "Don't forget to water my garden or there will be trouble!", sitting practically on top of eachother on the one couch whilst watching Friends, encouraging one another to make sneaky trips to get food at 11pm, and watching her strange facial expressions when she doesn't know I am looking. As she says "It's the end of an era". So these are all the items I am eyeing off to keep my mind off her impending move.

Green Kitchen Stories

I know when Jade & I started this blog we promised nutrition based posts as well as fashion and our general strangeness. I have been a massive slacker so from now on I vow to post more, particularly on my love for healthy food and never ending recipe collection. The recipes I share will come from both favourite blogs and also my own creations over the years.

Green Kitchen Stories is one of my all time favourite food blogs. It follows the daily life of David, Luise and baby Elsa who are based in Stockholm and spend most of their time in the kitchen experimenting and creating simple and pure vegetarian recipes using wholefoods and organic products.

Take a look here and check out their amazing recipe collection. I have too many favourites so you decide which ones are the winners!

Melancholia

I am feeling very behind lately, and 'Melancholia' is one film I am desperate to find the time to see. With Kirsten Dunst, and Richard Wagner's 'Tristan und Isolde' on the soundtrack I don't think I could possibly be disappointed.

I'm also yet to watch 'Drive' and 'Bull Cunningham New York' so I am looking forward to slowing down my social calendar and staying in a little more. Who wouldn't want to stay in with Ryan Gosling anyway? In the words of a friend on facebook "Quite often I stop and think to myself 'Why isn't Ryan Gosling my boyfriend?".

'The Country'

As promised here are some pictures from my first trip to Dimity's home town. Being a city girl I don't know what I was expecting of Wodonga, but it was more like a big melbourne suburb rather than the one general store and sprawling farms that I imagined it would be. The first night we stayed on our friend's block of land by the river, and I even (accidentally) slept in a swag. I enjoyed myself so much that I stayed and lounged by the pool, baked cupcakes, visited the cows at the sale yard (the usual country stuff), while Dimity came back to Melbourne for work. We didn't snap many good pictures sorry, we spent most of the time too drunk, and even more of it make-up free!

Asos App and Leopard hats.

I am unsure if I am a little late on the uptake, but I just discovered that Asos has an iPhone app, and I have a feeling it is going to get me into some trouble, especially since they no longer charge postage. But I am fairly happy with this hat purchase. Reduced to $12.98 how could I possibly go wrong? I never have been a huge fan of animal print, but lately it has grown on me. Counting the days until this little baby arrives. You can purchase it here.

Updates on our trip to 'the country' coming shortly, but let's just say I could easily hang up my city boots and be persuaded to join the country kids forever! Jade x

Fairy & Slimity Go To The Country

Today after work, for the first time ever, Jade will be coming back to Wodonga with me. From the first day we met she has had many questions for me about the 'country.'
'Does your Mum wear overalls and chew on hay?'
'Do you have to drive to your letterbox?'
'Do you have kangaroos in your backyard?'
'Does everyone in the town know everyone?'

We do go pretty wild in Wodonga, so i think she will make a smooth transition into country life. The weekend will consist of lots of infused vodka, multiple jelly shots, sun baking, swimming and jet skiing. Stay tuned for pictures of Jade's first 'Donga' experience!

Beau Coops

The two of us have been big fans of Beau Coops for some time now. They are quite possibly the most comfortable shoes you will ever put your feet into, no matter how high the heel may be. Every new collection sees us desperately sending pictures to eachother of the pairs we want in the hope that we will beat eachother to it. But most of the time we pick the same pair and fight over who should get to have them. We couldn't tell you why we love them so much, perhaps it's the perfect balance of masculinity and feminity, or that they remain a classic staple in our wardrobe that we pull out again and again. Or maybe it's the fact that when you pick up a pair they feel heavy, as though they are made of gold (yes we know we are getting all poetic but this is what they do to us!). Some styles are not for the faint hearted and are sure to have you stopped in the street, but if standing out in the crowd is not your thing then do yourself a favour and make sure you get a pair of the classic boots. We promise you, you will never, EVER go back!
