Boots are something both Jade and I live in all year round. I've tried sandals and flats but always end up opting for my trusty boots which work well with almost every outfit! The time has come for a new pair though to see me though the better part of a year. Now just to decide which ones...

Shack Me Up With Shakuhachi

Must have this is my wardrobe NOW. It's the Shakuhachi 'Block It' leather asymetric dress. It's close to 400 penny coins, but it's oh so heavenly. Would also be very pleased to have the Burgundy cape suit jacket, and the wide leg jumpsuit below. Mmmmm. I can also very happily see myself prancing around pretending to be Red Hiding Hood. Jade x

Shoes, Glorious Shoes

Earlier I posted about Mister Zimi's amazing 'Billie boot' and I am happy to say I now have a pair in my hot little hands, or should I say feet? These furry friends are guaranteed either love or hate and nothing in between. PS they were just reduced at Design a Space to $245, bargain anyone?

My lovely house-lady Rosie also came home with a pair of leather converse over the weekend and informed me that she purchased them for the bargain price of $70 from the little converse store down Degraves street (in Melbourne). Since I have never owned a pair of casual shoes (except for the runners Slimity gave me because I couldn't bring myself to spend money on runners when there are boots and wedges to be had) I went and purchased a pair for myself. I thought sneakers would mean comfort but wearing these in sure seems to hurt like hell!

Thursday Sunday SS13 Preview

Last night Slimity and I went to the Thursday, Sunday SS13 preview at the girl's (Mara and Iris) studio. We don't want to give too much away but we were very excited to see a print featured in the collection for the first time in well, quite some time. Not to mention another beautiful signature hand-knitted piece by Mara's mum. We have always found the knits to be irresistable.

We were given summery cocktails to sip, and colour co-ordinated iced cupcakes to munch on whilst we snooped through not only the clothing, but their space too. I mentioned to Mara how appropriate the Australian floral arrangements for the evening were, and she assured me it was definitely 'intended' haha (The lovely floral arrangements were done by their friend Felicity Miller). We ran off afterwards, albeit a little bit tipsy, to fill our stomachs with some much needed dinner and pretend that we weren't depressed that summer is so far away that winter hasn't actually started...

We are so very proud of the girls, every collection just gets better and better!

 The lights hanging above the clothing were covered in cloth, an idea that I would love to steal. Fingers crossed I won't burn the house down!

Fanne Turns 20!

Saturday afternoon/evening was spent celebrating my sister Annabel's 20th birthday. It was so much fun and spent with such a great group of people! Highlight was definitely her Oreo, Snickers and rainbow vanilla cupcakes. She is contemplating starting her very own 'Fanne's Cupcake Stand'. I'm sure it would be a winner!

Hair Envy

Russh Magazine just posted this on their Instagram, and I think I almost died. I thought I had talents, what with being able to do fish-tails and braids, but this is a whole new level of wow. The style is by Renya Xydis of Cloud Nine hair, and it was for the Christopher Esber runway. Hair ENVY, need I say more. Jade x
