Everyday Skirt

This skirt isn't just designated for Thursday's and Sunday's, even if it's designers are the amazing Melbourne based label Thursday, Sunday. I say this because it is one item of clothing that I would happily put on every day of the week, and I just don't care if y'all get sick of it. I pre-ordered it late last year, and received it in February and have been meaning to blog about it since then. What can I say, I am slack, and just haven't had any appropriate photos (hence the shoddy ones below). I wasn't quite expecting what I got, it's a brown herringbone and for some reason I thought it was grey and not herringbone at all. But thank goodness I was wrong because it slipped so well into my wardrobe, it was clearly meant to be.

Expect a lot on Thursday, Sunday from us as Dimity and I are long-time lovers and together own about 25 pieces by them. We still reminisce on pieces we think we should have purchased from past collections, because what we have CLEARLY isn't enough. Poor Mara and Iris have been bugged by us many times about these, in particular a one-off suede dress I still dream of, that I very stupidly sold to someone else.

Chet Faker is no faker

I went to see Chet Faker last night at the Toff and it was smashing. For those of you who don't know Chet Faker is also bearded man Nick Murphy and as far as his music goes, I have never heard anything so sexy. Also his stage presence was different to anything I have ever seen thanks to a very dry but incredibly funny sense of humour. Get onto purchasing his EP 'Thinking in Textures', pretty sure this boy is going to be big news. This song 'I'm Into You' is my personal favourite! Jade x

Apricot Muesli Balls

Slimity is normally much better at talking about food, I learnt everything I know from her. But I made these Apricot Balls last week with the intention to take them to work as my snack for the week. They lasted all of two days. They are super easy to make, and (I think) are a fairly healthy snack.

You just need: 1 cup of chopped dried apricots, 2 cups of muesli (try it with Dim's recipe from earlier on YUM), 1/4 cup of honey, 60g melted butter, 3/4 cup shredded coconut.

You can change those ingredients those with whatever you prefer, and even just use oats instead of muesli. I didn't even measure anything I just threw it all in.

Just put all the ingredients into a food processer for a few minutes until well combined. Then roll the mixture into balls and then into the coconut. Keep them in the fridge (but better in the freezer!) to set. Sooooo good.

To go, or not to go...

Splendour in the Grass - to go or not to go? The line-up is pretty darn fantastic (including Lana Del Rey, who is definitely on my must see list for 2012), it is back at Byron Bay again, my boy is adamant that we MUST go. Perhaps it will be worth every penny of the >$350 it will cost to go, even if it is draining money from my India trip funds.

Night at the Queensberry

Saturday night was spent at our friend Lexie's house party. The punch was killer but we were pretty boring and tired. I (Jade) wore a Her Pony pantsuit which made me feel like I was naked on top, but was a lot of fun to wear. I hate coming home when you like your outfit because you feel like it should get the most wear possible. It never feels the same as when you wore it for the first time. Dim wasn't feeling the night, so not many pictures of her pretty wool Thursday, Sunday dress, but I think she looked magnifique. Happy Friday!

Shop Chameleon

My Chameleon is fast becoming my favourite online store, particularly because it stocks one of our favourite labels and friends Thursday, Sunday. More on them to come, but for now these items are on my wishlist.

I have been desiring/dreaming about Dieppa Restrepo for some time now. They have a lovely pair of patent leathers and some in animal print, but both are sold out. However the new canvas loafer has only recently been added to the site and I am unsure if I shall be able to resist these ones.

The Thursday, Sunday knit below is hand knitted in Melbourne and will be the best thing you ever stuff your upper body into. I already have two of their knitted jumpers from previous collections so at this point I think I need to restrain myself, but you definitely shouldn't.
